Confused about ISA maturity and transfer
I have a 1-year fixed ISA with one provider which is maturing in a few weeks' time. I want to open a new ISA with a different provider and transfer the money in. I understand the general principle to transfer this ISA to a new provider is to apply to open an ISA with the new provider, and fill out a form where they will…

Paying into Lifetime ISA from my SIPP
I have recently retired and I am drawing income from my SIPP. Can I set up a Lifetime ISA for my son from that income. Or is that viewed in the same way as you can't pay pension into another pension? Presumably because it is getting double tax relief, or am I OK to set up the Lifetime ISA? Does anyone already do this?

Topping up Cash Isas
I have several ISAs from the past few years, with £20k in each. I might need the cash for a short period in the next tax year, can I withdraw the cash from each of them without closing the accounts and then top them back to £20k before the end of the tax year?

If someone currently has the maximum in a Cash ISA, are they allowed to open another Cash ISA to start saving from scratch? Does it have to be with a different provider? Can it be in the same tax year? How many Cash ISA's can somebody hold in total? I've tried researching but have not got a definitive answer, in fact,…

Tax on sale of ISA shares
I want to help my son buy a house. I have a S&S ISA. If I raise say 30k from that, and pass the cash to him obviously it’s a Gift as far as IHT 7 year rule goes, but would he be liable for any income tax on that cash? Thanks.

OPENING AN ISA NOW AND MAKING A FURTHER DEPOSIT IN THE NEW ISA YEAR - QUERY
Most fixed rate cash ISA products allow for deposits additional to the initial deposit for a period of 60 days. If I open an ISA before 6 April 2025 by transferring already wrapped funds is it likely that I will be able to add £20K of unwrapped funds in the new financial year but within the 60 day period?

Cash ISAs won't be changed on 26th March?
Every newspaper is running the same story this morning, which is that Cash ISAs will not be changed this month but they are still slated to be "reformed" this year. It's a complete mystery how they've all hit on the identical story as we've been told many times that the Treasury does not comment on budget speculation.

Moving money from standard savings account to an ISA
We have had a joint instant access savings account now for a couple of years and because of more favourable interest rates than when we started, this tax year we may be required to pay tax on the interest. If we open individual ISA’s now and transfer the maximum amount each out of the savings account, will that lessen the…

Trading 212 Cash ISA
Opened a new T212 Cash ISA to transfer into. I was 73rd in the 'queue' and kept being reminded to add funds to receive 5.03%. I was waiting for the transfer to be administered by them. Finally the transfer was done and they advise me now that my interest rate is 4.5% only. I missed the deadline through no fault of my own.…

Chip ISA Promo Honoured for Transfers In?
Chip has a promotion for six months with a boost of 0.68% to take it to 5% for new customers paying in this tax year or transfering existing ISAs. To get the promo you must pay in £1 within 14 days of opening. I think you can see the catch for transfers: if you have maxed out your £20k payments this year you can't pay the…

ISA APS allowance
Sorry if this has been asked before, but searches on here didn't shine much light, and information from the banks isn't helpful. My wife passed away and had a cash ISA with Natwest. I have probate, and am the sole beneficiary. I bank with Barclays, so would like to transfer the APS to them. For this, Barclays has forms to…
