Stocks and Shares ISA best platform?
I have a cash ISA maturing shortly and wanted to transfer to S&S ISA. Any advice on best platform to use? Trading 212 I understand has no charges for buying shares but are there any advantages to going with someone like Hargreaves Lansdown?

Inactive Cash ISA
Apologies stupid questions! :) I have an inactive cash ISA (Halifax) that I've had for years and not used so it is currently inactive. The balance is next to nothing (3p) and the interest rate is currently very low. (1.10%). I am looking at paying my full allowance into a cash ISA before the end of the current tax year but…

Transferring ISA from Virgin to Skipton BS
Hi, I am trying to transfer an ISA from Virgin to Skipton. On the Skipton site when Virgin money is selected it asks for a "roll or reference number." Neither Virgin or Skipton seem clear on what this is. I am wondering if anyone has resolved this. The virgin account sort code begins with 08 and I am wondering if I should…

Anything I'm missing before transferring my ISA?
I transferred in to a Moneybox Cash ISA last year and have been using as much of my allowance as possible. As the interest rate has been dropping and the bonus rate will disappear, I'm looking to move it to Trading 212's Cash ISA. Presumably I can initiate this switch now and don't have to wait until the new tax year? I…

Gone over my ISA allowance!
Hi All First post here - hope you are able to help me! In November 2024, I invested £20,000 into a Cash ISA. I also pay a regular £150 per month into a stocks and shares fund. But I had forgotten that I set this up as an ISA too in 2023. I think therefore that I have overpaid into my ISAs by £1800 for this tax year (12…

Making lifetime ISA deposits while working abroad as a UK worker
I'm currently abroad for work. I've not spent much time in the UK since Nov 2023, just a week here and there. According to my HR department, I'm a UK worker who is posted abroad on a temporary contract, and a UK resident for tax purposes. Can I pay into my lifetime ISA?

T212 isa transfer out
Is it just me or is this an absolute nightmare trying to achieve? Just opened a Chip isa to get the bonus for 3 months, they want account number and sort code. T212 say they don't have a sort code! Meanwhile, Chip response time to my message is a day. Not good when the bonus clock is already ticking.

Junior ISA Limits
The answer will have been given before I am sure. I know that you can contribute up to £9,000 each tax year into a Junior ISA. Is this limit per child or the total limit ? So 3 children @ £3000 each = £9000 Or 3 children @ £9000 each = £27000 TIA

How to find out where the Interest is coming from they want to tax
Hi I've had two coding notices and I'm confused. They have estimated how much interest this year and next year and adjusted my code, but my savings are in ISAs. I can't seem to find where they have the information from as, as far as I know (and I review my savings each January) I have no hidden pots I don't know about - I…

Maturity Option
Hi, Cash ISA advice, please! I have selected a maturity option with Paragon bank of 4.3% (it renews in April in the new tax year). I have up until two days before maturity to change. It only allows me to change to another account I'd have to open with them. I've seen better rates with Shawbrook, so now looking to transfer…

What legal implications are there
My mother was recently widowed and sold upher home to move into a smaller place. This has left her with a lump sum. She was "advised" by someone close to divide the money up and get her offspring to open ISA accounts in their own names and put the money into them. This way if she was to go into a care home in the future…

How do you feel about giving national insurance number?
Hi, I recently saw the article about Trading 212 offer of £40 worth of shares. I downloaded the app but it’s asking for my national insurance number. My concern here is data breaches etc and more of my personal details getting into the wrong hands. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks

Interest from Cash ISAs
If interest is paid monthly on a cash ISA, can that interest be moved to another non-ISA account without tax liability?
