I put 20k into a Santander isa account last year, can I put another 20k into the same isa for this year?

Yes, but if the rate has dropped you can open a new isa and transfer this in, and still add £20k

Nice position to be in. Well done.

It will depend on the terms and conditions of the ISA. Many variable-rate ISAs let you add to the ISA at any time. However most fixed-rate ISAs only have a short window after opening where you can add more money.
