Sainsburys didn't deliver and wouldn't refund - account now blocked
So a few weeks ago, in the bad weather, the village where I live was blocked off by flooding and I didn't receive the on line grocery order I had booked in. Initially I was told I'd be contacted for a redelivery the next day but that never happened. Then I was told I'd be refunded but that didn't happen either. After a…

Warning - Sainsbury's substitutes promise for online orders
Just a heads up as I think not many people would expect this. If Sainsbury's make a substitute to your online grocery order and you accept this, when it costs more, they they give you a voucher for the difference you paid. This voucher is only off online orders (and I think is automatic, maybe). This voucher EXPIRES in 2…

Does Iceland Bonus Card App work offline?
I tried to get the Iceland Bonus card at my local Iceland but they didn't have any and insisted I use the App. I have since downloaded the App but not sure if it will work offline? I don't have any wifi plans on my mobile so when I'm out of the house I cannot use wifi. Does anyone know if I can use the Bonus card details…

Sainsbury Christmas Club Card
This is the first year I've bought one of these. I am finding it very confusing. How
do I spend my balance on-line? In one section it says you cannot use
it to pay with a credit/debit card i.e. split a payment by paying
part on the balance of your card and the rest by using a credit card. And in another it says you can.…

Sainsburys deliberately overcharge you at the till on reduced price goods
I used an automatic Till in a Sainsburys Store, and some of my goods had Reduced Price yellow labels on them. I did not spot until I got home that I had been charged the full Price for the reduced Items and I don't live local to the store. Attempts to speak to someone on 0800636262 have been…

Check your till receipt
This happened to me yesterday. When I told a friend she said it was common. I didn't know about it so thought I would share. I popped into a well known supermarket yesterday just to buy a few items of food. My bill came to around £40.00. As I walked away I decided to look at the till receipt as I got the feeling that I had…

Sainsbury's and Aldi Price Match
For a couple of months my local Sainsbury's supermarket has been selling its wholemeal pitta at 60p and at the same time promising it's been price matched against Aldi. When I've visited Aldi in the last 2 weeks their wholemeal pitta is on the shelves at 50p. How many more so called price matches are similarly incorrect?

Ocado is NOT a good supplier
OK. Hadn't used Ocado before but some items I wanted weren't available at my local M&S Foodhall. Placed an order for 10 items about a month ago; today (due delivery day), I was advised by email that 2 items were "missing" (ie not available), 7 were substituted (and if we'd wanted these we would have ordered them, so they…

Tesco unethical and miss selling
I was shocked to see that Tesco was selling caged eggs. I thought that supermarkets had stopped selling them. To make matters worse, they had an Aldi price match sticker on their caged eggs. Aldi doesn't sell caged eggs; they only sell free-range eggs for ethical reasons. So not only was Tesco miss-selling because they…

Excellent value at Continental Supermarkets!
With the cost of living crisis over recent year I decided to cook from scratch again and make things in bulk. I visited my local continental supermarket and I was amazed at the prices of many items. Various flours, rice, herbs, spices, dried beans, gari, bulgur, jareesh to name a few. Some of the ingredients I had never…

Pickled onions for Christmas! Recommendations?
I'm a great fan of pickled onions and used to make my own. Unfortunately illness has meant that I haven't been able to make any for a few years now and I'm reliant on the commercially-available ones. Can anyone recommend from personal experience any really good ones... by which I mean crunchy and sweet? I seem to find…

Everything is being watered down.
Please tell me other people are noticing it too?So many products have more water in, toothpaste used to be paste, now it sinks into the brush before you put it in your mouth. Sauces, shower gels, pump soap etc. are all much more watery and you have to use more.I think we are all being robbed.

Morrisons More Card - is it worth it?
I've tried to find a dedicated Morrisons thread, but couldn't seem to find one. I'm a regular customer at Morrisons, and realised that a loyalty card would be a good idea by now. Has anyone found the Morrisons More scheme to be useful in saving on your normal purchases? Or do you tend to be given discounts on products…

Tesco refusing to give refunds when Christmas savings vouchers have been used!!
I was told in Tesco today that as I had used a lot of my Clubcard Christmas savings vouchers on my £85 shop I would not get a refund on two items of clothing I had bought. Except for a very tiny amount, about £3 for £35 worth of clothing. I paid in to the savings scheme, it wasn't free money!
