Boots - no points added if you redeem a recycling coupon?

It isn't mentioned in the T&Cs but looks like boots doesn't give you points if you redeem a recycling coupon. Checked online and at least a couple of my products qualify for the usual 3 points per £1. All 3 earns below are separate transactions on different days. Spent at least £10 on the ones where i earned 500. 

I don't really mind as it's pennies but for future notice. Just disappointed they didn't mention this anywhere!

I have loads for recycling but honestly rarely shop instore - the prices are markedly different (better) online. So I suppose I could wait until I need some basics but online shopping / code stacking / accumulating discounts is far more satisfying.

Normal with most Boots conditional spend coupons, you receive the coupon points in place of the normal points, they are not additional points.

Led me to coupon 32 T&C's where it states advantage card points are awarded on spend over the coupon threshold.

This is interesting - it explains why I didn't get any base points when buying my lunch after depositing recycling at Boots near MSE Towers yesterday!  I got the 100 points, plus the extra points from another offer in the app, but not quite as many points as I was expecting.
