Anyone else annoyed at the Coop competition email with the header

'we’ve detected unusual activity on your membership'

So irresponsible especially less than a year after they allowed themselves to be hacked and all our information compromised. Obviously, after opening their email, I realised that it was only an email to announce their alien competition. I get so annoyed at these totally tone deaf attempts at humour by morons in sales departments.

I have unsubscribed from their emails and told them why, not that they will take any notice but at least I feel I have done something. I did think of cancelling my account but then I would be cutting my nose off to spite my face and I am not quite there yet.

EDIT - Just received a reply to my complaint to Coop

We’re really sorry.

Our recent message with the subject line “We've detected unusual activity on your membership... 👽” was sent in error and we realise it may have caused confusion or concern. The message contained an incorrect test subject email line to promote our latest in-app Member game.
