M&S Chicken Leg Portions

M&S  Chicken Leg Portions are very good value this week, can only presume there may be a surplus after all the chicken crowns sold over the Christmas period.

Had some for evening meal and made a pot of soup and very tasty they where.

    £1.50 for 600g

I thought it was a misprint at first, the pack we had contained 3 legs, 1 each for meal and 1 for soup.
Hope they still have some tomorrow, will stock up as they are freezable.

They've been selling these at £1.50 for quite a long time. Some packs contain 2 legs and some 3 - we always have a good hunt around for the 3 packs!

Similar price in Aldi, kilo packs for £2.25, although obviously not the same welfare standard as M&S

I search for the 3 leg quarter packs too. It’s the same weight but it helps with portioning out the food. I also try to look for yellow stickers of them every once in a while. I’ve bought them for 75p and 94p before! The chicken wings are sometimes on similar YS discount as well

The higher welfare aspect comes through in the taste in my opinion, these are very tasty which makes them good value I think. Having had cheep chicken from other suppliers I have found them to be rubbery and not something I would buy twice if I could help it.
Got three more packs today, couple in the freezer and one packet for Sunday lunch to look forward too.
