Just an observation, but I see that Asda now only seem to offer 12 month delivery passes (which are more expensive than the old 6 monthly ones). Tesco offer both 6 & 12 month still, but "from 2 May, the minimum basket charge is increasing to £5. The minimum basket value for home delivery will increase to £50, Click+Collect…

Just a tip if you like extra mature cheddar
I think we MSE'ers often overlook Waitrose, but it is my nearest supermarket and they do have one or two bargains in their 'Essentials' range. They have been promoting the fact that they have reduced the price of 100s of these products. One such is the Essentials Extra Mature Cheddar. New price £4.75 for 750g (£6.34/kg).…

Gold Award would go to Milk & More. Free delivery, no minimum order, arrives before 0700 every time. You can order up to 9pm…

Tissue paper under minced beef in sealed tray!
Hi. Anyone know why Morrison's supermarket butchers counter minced beef has tissue paper under it at bottom of tray? Because I been having problems trying to remove tissue paper as it falls into small pieces as I remove it, it's almost impossible to be certain it's all been removed. Such a faff, why do they have to put in…

Tesco's Inaccurate Receipts
Sorry I could not find a thread for this. I recently placed an online order with Tesco's. Part of it was for home and part was for work. I had some vouchers so I decided to use them - simple I thought but didn't turn out that way. I then got my receipt and could not make head nor tale of it. All I needed was a receipt…

Food Shortages Again
I have seen reports in newspapers, stating that there are shortages of produce and eggs, in British supermarkets. I can see that bird flu is a problem, but all hens need to be housed at night anyway, so that they don't get killed by foxes. If the hens aren't free range at the moment, the price should go down, not up,…

Tesco Club card reducing reward value.
Just got an email from Tesco that they are reducing the value of the Club card rewards. "From
14 June**, when you exchange your Clubcard vouchers for a Reward Partner code,
they’ll be worth up to 2x as much, not up to 3x the value, as they are now" But note "You'll still get up to 3x the value until 13 June 2023". So I…

Only place I found unbranded version is on eBay, 50g £2.99(ripoff) especially as it's absolutely rank🤮 Anyone know of anyone that sells similar product?

Shrinkflation
Something that puzzles me, when food inflation is worked out do they take shrinkflation into consideration. If they don't look at weights etc then surely food inflation would be far worse.

Lidl Plus - joint account for husband and wife?
Apologies if this is the wrong board - please move if necessary. I'm in the dark about how I can add points from the shopping I do at Lidl to those obtained by OH. He already has a Lidl Plus account on his phone. What do I need to do, please? Lidl and their FAQs do not make it clear, at all. Perhaps it's not possible?

The Polish Bakery - disappeared?
Does anybody know what's happened to 'The Polish Bakery' products in the supermarkets? I went to do my weekly online shop at Asda today to find that all their products have vanished. Same story at the other big supermarkets. You can find them via Google, for example:…

Clubcard Points Ratios?
How many points per pound do you earn in clubcard points using a Tesco bank card vs another payment that is non-tesco credit card (in my case that is American Express)? In other words will I now not be earning as many clubcard points using my AE card to pay for my food shopping each week vs using my Tesco Bank card to pay…

Sneaky Marks and Spencer pricing, including Dine In
In the Bletchley M&S, they have misleading pricing regarding their food deals. Some of the individual items in a deal are priced higher than where they are in their own place on the shelves. A couple of weeks ago, ham hocks were priced at £8.50 in a deal, but if you went round to where they were also on display in the…
