Iceland bonus card over 60s discount question
Am I correct in thinking that if I top up my Iceland bonus card and get the extra £1 for every £20 I add, I can then spend it on a Tuesday and get my extra 10% over 60s' discount as well? Seems like a win win if that's correct.

shops making hay while the prices go up
Do you think shops are profiteering while the cost of living is high , as an example i having been a big user of ASDA essential range but in the last few weeks all their prices have gone up by 50% to more than 100% ie soups went up from 19p to 45p in one go , cheese from £3.65 to £4.40 even baked beans 19p to 27 p ,not an…

Pepsi - sweetener warning.
Anyone avoiding artificial sweeteners (Aspartame etc) should now steer clear of Pepsi Cola. The sneaky devils have switched to adding artificial sweeteners with no warning of the change on the main packaging. Read the small print and it's there on the ingredients list. .

Mr Kipling have ruined their bramley apple pies (and probably other products)
Anyone bought Mr Kipling bramley apple pies recently? They've reduced the sugar from 13.8g per pie to 8.5g. Utterly tasteless now. Well, I say tasteless. They taste like they're filled with wallpaper paste. No sweetness at all. Will not buy again.

Tesco Redmere Farm onions
I have not seen Tesco's Redmere Farm onions in store for about a month now, also not showing on website. Is this local to me (Essex) or nationwide? Shame as a good price (were 1 kilo for 50p for ages then went up to 55p but still a lot cheaper than any other brown onions.)

Olio collection times
I have been checking my local Olio offerings and see that posts are often 10.30pm or later. However, 'same day' collection is required as these fresh items are on their last date. Is almost immediate collection strictly necessary or is this statement a legal requirement due to the date on the food? Would a 'first thing in…

Greek week & Lidl
It's Greek week in Lidl, in case you didn't know  Since I am already logged on MSE forum, my appeal - please steer clear of 'Aubergine Paste'! I don't have any frame of reference in regards to Greek food, but I don't think I should be able to detect such strong smell of cigarette ash. I bought a jar and it reaks of…

Over £15 million worth of unused Clubcard vouchers, belonging to over three million customers, are set to expire at the end of the month – and now is a good time to use them while you can still triple their value. Frequent shopping saves me money
Recently retired, I walk 30 minutes to Lidl 4 or 5 times a week to pick up a handful of groceries. I have the time and it's good exercise. I now realise is that it also saves me money because my attitude has changed. When I shopped weekly, I would notice things that weren't on my list and, if I thought that I might want to…

Kitchen roll
Decided to ‘do our bit’ and bought a Tesco own brand packet of kitchen roll with the smaller cardboard insert, supposedly saving % of manufacturing costs and paper. Great . . . . except the tube is too small for the holder. So I suppose any benefit of buying a smaller tube is spent on purchasing a smaller compatible holder…

How do you tell which pre-packed produce is freshest at Sainsbury's
I know best before dates have come up before and we have a couple of ongoing threads comparing supermarkets, but rather than distracting I thought perhaps a 'quick' thread would be best. I buy all of my vegetables from Sainsbury's and apart from onions they are pre-packed. I try to pick the freshest but it is often…
