The likes of Best-One, Budgens, Co-op, Costcutter, Londis, Nisa and Premier have offers on booze, soft drinks, party nibbles, ice cream, loo rolls, washing up liquid, tissues, crisps, chocolate and sweets.
The advantage is, that you won't have to queue up in a supermarket while your ice cream defrosts.
Budgens has the big 450g organic Yeo Valley yogurts for 1.50 and Port Salut cheese reduced to 2.50
Best-One has Birds Eye petits pois 545g for £2
Co-op is doing a mix and match 2 for £8 deal which includes:
Co-op responsibly sourced 2 salmon fillets 220g
Co-op Irresistible Hereford beef mince 500g
Co-op responsibly sourced 2 smoked mackerel fillets 180g
Co-op smoked salmon 100g
Co-op Irresistible diced beef 350g
I have spotted Andrex 9 rolls for £5 (saving 1.95) at a couple of chains and quite a few of the offers last until January, so if you are wanting to kill the in-laws before the New Year, you can escape for a bit.
Will post other offers as I see them.

My local spar always has cheap shloer in the run up to Christmas. I view it as an act of love to carry 12 bottles of it in those supermarket wine bags back up the hill to our house, for my partner. I hate the stuff, personally!1
