Flight refunds - Group Bookings, be aware.
When a group flight booking is made and then cancelled by the operator, any vouchers can only be used by the group participants, not individually for another flight. This makes it useless for most.

FX Credit cards - rate when posted or pending? Who does "when pending"?
Hi all, I had a Tamdem card which was great, but I was not going to pay £6 a month to use it. So went back to Halifax Clarity. Both of course fee free for foriegn transactions. Anyways I noticed Halifax had a pending US transaction (cruise - dont judge) at £1807 which was fine. Shown as Pending but had been converted to…

Claim
A car rental firm abroad has billed me £1200 for some alleged damage four years after the event. Although at the time I disputed any responsibility as I knew it was not my fault, I had no choice but to leave my credit card as security. No money has ever been taken but a first reminder has arrived four years later! Is there…

Hi, I bought flights with BA to Thailand flying at the beginning of April 2020. I paid for the flights on my debit card (I know I should have used a credit card) last October. I made additional payment to change our outbound flight date and then further sums of money to secure seats next to my partner for outbound and…

We travelled to Las Vegas last September and took a Post Office travel money card loaded with dollars. When we returned I called the support team and they transferred remaining dollars in to pounds, approximately £150. On New Years Eve 2019 I took a call from the fraud team at post office who asked had I authorised a…

Opening a Euro Account
Hi, I go on holiday no more than twice a year (mostly within Europe) but I hate having to carry around a load of cash for the duration. I was wondering whether it might be worth opening a personal Euro account... is that plausible / are there any pitfalls I should be aware of? Obviously it would need to come with a debit…

DoYouSpain cancellation
I have a booking for 7 days care hire with DoYouSpain in Majorca on Tuesday 7/4/20 and they have been in touch to say that obviously this is not happening. However, because the rate we had been given was a "special" non-refundable/non-cancellation, they will keep our money and offer us a voucher to be used by the end of…
