Travel money cards

Hi all,
We are going to on holiday to Lanzarote in 7 weeks, From what we’ve read most place are only accepting card/contactless payments, can you recommend a card we can use? Bearing in mind we can get any credit so Credit cards are cards that do a check are out the question.

Even a basic account has a visa debit card. Just be aware of the charges when using the card.

We use a Santander debit card in Spain and the Canaries - no fees when withdrawing cash from Santander branded ATMs, and they are plenty of them there, being a Spanish bank.

Their basic current account requires a minimum £500 deposited monthly, but it can be used as a standard day to day working account in the UK, so it's a decent option.

A Santander Zero credit card is ideal for purchasing goods or services, again no fees - but you must settle up in full when the next monthly statement is due for settlement - as Martin consistantly preaches.
