Ryan air

We were due to travel to Malta  on 15th July then onto Bologna on 25th July all with Ryan Air.  The 15th July flight was cancelled in April/May and we have requested a refund.  I had an online discussion with Ryan Air yesterday and they informed that we were unable to claim a refund on the other flight as it is going ahead.  I explained that we were unable to take that flight as we are still in the UK due to the cancellation of outgoing.  Apparently it is Ryan Air policy to only provide compenation when flight is cancelled and they are unable to assist any further.  I asked if they could provide a voucher for this flight and another that we are meant to be taking on 3rd August so that we can rebook later in the year.  Again response was it was not Ryan air policy to be provide vouchers for non cancelled flights.
Any advice, suggestions on best way forward?   Response times on Ryan air bot online chat is for another discussion,

Unfortunately Ryanair do not sell multi-flight itineraries.  Each separate booking is a completely separate contract, so the Malta-Bologna flight has no reliance on the UK-Malta flight.

Your only option with Ryanair is to move the booking, although you may have to pay flight change fees and fare differences if applicable (Ryanair are waiving the flight change fees for some bookings but I think this depends on when you booked).  Obviously for your flight that is tomorrow, you'll need to move that booking today - it can't be done once the flight has flown. This can be done on their website via My Booking.

Only other option is travel insurance - check your policy - you might be covered.
