Hire car hit and ran

Options
Today an enterprise Luton hire van hit my car parked outside my house. I have 4 children under 5 so was unable to run to get the Reg. My neighbour who heard the almighty bang ran after it and wrote down the REG but it was incorrect. I put shout outs on local sites to see if anyone saw anything. The police said without the Reg they didnt have a line on enquiry. And enterprise said they couldn't do anything. I even asked if any Luton Van's get returned with damage to the passenger side rear with that rough Reg but they were unwilling to help. My insurance company Axa said it would go against policy. I would have thought Enterprise would have trackers have some idea which vehicle it was. They cant have that many Luton Van's. So I'm left not knowing how to fix my car.

You fix your car by ringing your insurance company ASAP.

It's frustrating that Enterprise won't do anything - then again, I guess they're protecting their own interests as handing out that information will subject them to a claim.

If you have to claim on your own policy, it will go down as a 'fault' claim.
