Edreams/EasyJet refunds
Hi all, I’m hoping one of you lovely experts can help……. My husband booked a holiday for our family last January, sadly he died five months later. I contacted EasyJet and requested a refund which they processed to the card that made the booking, unfortunately the booking was passed to Edreams via Travel Fusion, so Edreams…

Halifax Clarity or Chase Debit
We're off to Germany for a few days soon, which would be better for us to use to pay for things, our Halifax Clarity credit card, or Chase Debit card where we get 1% cashback? I screwed up booking the hotel on my John Lewis card and got stung for over £14 in currency conversion fees (the hotel charged our card in Euros).…

Buying Currency vs ATM and fees
Hi, I was wondering if somebody could please help me work out what would be the best option to buy dollars. I have two cards which allow me to withdraw cash for no charge or fees however it seems that most ATMs in Las Vegas will charge up to $10 per withdrawal. Would it therefore be cheaper to just buy/exchange to dollars…

Overseas cash withdrawal on credit card impacting credit file
Hi. I’ve just used an RBS black credit card abroad for cash withdrawals, there’s 0 fees etc and I get 1% cashback, so it beats any of the recommended cards on MSE. You have to have a premier account to get one though so it’s not widely available, presume that’s why it’s not on here. However, my clearscore file is moaning…

Refund f
I booked a flight with Ryanair with my wife and 2 kids, I pre-purchased a large bag. It was one single booking for all of us. I couldn't fly because I had to help with a family medical emergency. When my wife got to the airport Ryanair wouldn't let her check in the bag as it was under my name on their system and, as I…

USA Car Rental without CDW
Hi, Looking to rent a car in the USA but prices are high as all policies quoted from the UK include CDW and SLI. I have an annual excess cover policy via moneymaxim as recommended by MSE which includes CDW and SLI for USA and Canada. As a result, I am assuming I can rent a car without CDW/SLI and save money on the rental.…

ATC strike caused flight cancellation - refund hassles
Had a search but couldn't quite see this situation on the forums.. RyanaIr cancelled our flight to southern France less than 24 hours before departure. We managed to find an EasyJet flight to an airport 380 km away and took a one-way a hire car to get us to our onward arrangements. Prior to booking all of this, a Ryanair…

Defective Barcode on Ryanair Boarding Pass
I've just downloaded (pdf) and printed my boarding passes. The barcode comprises 13 dotted vertical lines, which is not how a barcode should look like.See attached. I have also got the app on my phone which has a QR code on the pass. This looks ok but I would like the additional security of paper passes. Any ideas?

Buying Euros from Sainsbury's - Question re Santander charges
I bought £250 in Euros from Sainsbury's Travel exchange as the exchange rate looked good and there were no extra charges. I used my Santander credit card to pay for this but have noticed a £7.60 charge was applied. Is this correct? And do I need to pay this off quickly to prevent interest charges. Thanks

ATM’s
I think it needs more clarification from Martin that using a recognised credit card abroad ( e.g Barclays reward’) does not = no charges! I went to so many cash machines in Spain to get ‘free transaction’. They all charge! So what should we do? We are being ripped off by the banks. So realistically what is the cheapest…
