Best time to book British Airways?
I've founds some flights to Rio in January, BA has the best prices. I'm now questioning myself as to whether to buy now or wait for a "sale". If i could even find a 10% off coupon I'd book now. Any advice please?

ATC strike caused flight cancellation - refund hassles
Had a search but couldn't quite see this situation on the forums.. RyanaIr cancelled our flight to southern France less than 24 hours before departure. We managed to find an EasyJet flight to an airport 380 km away and took a one-way a hire car to get us to our onward arrangements. Prior to booking all of this, a Ryanair…

Defective Barcode on Ryanair Boarding Pass
I've just downloaded (pdf) and printed my boarding passes. The barcode comprises 13 dotted vertical lines, which is not how a barcode should look like.See attached. I have also got the app on my phone which has a QR code on the pass. This looks ok but I would like the additional security of paper passes. Any ideas?

Buying Euros from Sainsbury's - Question re Santander charges
I bought £250 in Euros from Sainsbury's Travel exchange as the exchange rate looked good and there were no extra charges. I used my Santander credit card to pay for this but have noticed a £7.60 charge was applied. Is this correct? And do I need to pay this off quickly to prevent interest charges. Thanks

Debenhams Travel Money Card - what are my options?
Hi there, I am in need of some advice please. I purchased some USD on a Debenhams Travel Money card in March 2018 and the card expired in April 2022. If I remember correctly, there might have been something along the lines of a refund of unused funds after 6 years. I would like to know what my options as I cannot register…

ATM’s
I think it needs more clarification from Martin that using a recognised credit card abroad ( e.g Barclays reward’) does not = no charges! I went to so many cash machines in Spain to get ‘free transaction’. They all charge! So what should we do? We are being ripped off by the banks. So realistically what is the cheapest…

Bank fee for loading Rand on Revolut
I loaded ZAR onto my Revolut card using my Lloyds’s debit card and was astounded when they charged me 2.99% for the privilege! I’ve taken this up with Lloyds as on MSE it states ‘if you are buying and topping up currency on a prepaid card always use a debit card which isn’t allowed to charge this fee’. Has anyone else…

European flight compensation question
Hi! So, I was delayed at Gatwick for 2h45m on an easyjet flight to Turin because 1) the aircon went funny at point of take-off so they headed to the side of the runway and called an engineer, 2) when this was sorted then then said they needed to refuel, 3) they then needed to await someone to help the plane get back to the…

Loading Euro Cash on to a Travel Card
So I bought some euros, as the exchange rate was good, to load on to my Post Office Travel Card. After the euros arrived I went to the post office to load them on and was advised that they cannot do this, and they can only load GBP on to the card which will convert in to my required currency. So now I'm stuck with euro…

I live in Almaty in Kazakhstan. Due to civil unrest in January 2022 the international airport was closed for a period of several weeks. As of 19th June 2023 Easyjet (under the radar as far as my countless searches tell me) have changed their policy for those paying for extra leg room. British Airways- charging flight in dollars in UK leading to currency fee
Hi all, I booked a flight with British Airways last week. I was in the UK when I made the booking but when I went to pay, the final charge was in USD instead of pounds sterling. I scrolled up and down to see if I could pay in sterling instead but no joy. I went ahead and paid and just saw that my bank charged me a foreign…

Portugal car hire (and baby seat?)
Hi, We're going to Portugal with our new arrival in a few weeks, and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a local car hire company? Or is it a case of just using the standard comparison sites? Also, we are not sure whether to take our car seat as one of the carry on items with Easyjet, or to pay for a car…
