Hi, My flight home from Nice was cancelled because of the air traffic control meltdown Bank Holiday weekend August 2023 and I ended up driving back across france as there were no flights in a 100 mile radius for 3-4 days. I submitted a compensation claim and was told, not unexpectedly, I wasn't entitled. But I could claim…

Easy Jet check in query
I am attempting to check in for an upcoming EJ flight to Germany in November. The app states that all passenger info must match your travel document exactly including middle names. At the point of booking only first and last name were requested. It did state that names must be as per passport, such as David rather than…

I just want to pay extra for one 23kg suitcase
I want to book tickets for 2 people and save as much as possible. It seems universal that the operators offer a no frills price where you can't select seats and take a large suitcase. They give you an upgrade option to do both. However, I don't want to pay to choose a seat but I want to pay for just ONE person to take a…

Flight time extended by 5 hours - compensation available?
I have a flight booked from through BA for December, which has two legs. Both legs are BA codeshares - the first leg is with Finnair, and the second with JAL. The flight with JAL has recently had its predicted arrival time extended by 5 hours, although the departure time remains the same. I'm aware there is compensation…

Avis car hire UK - Car not roadworthy?
Hello Everybody Hired a car through Avis in July. Pick up was from Gatwick airport. Staff were lovely and told me that there were three small areas of damage on the car, and that if I found anything else I should just take a picture and tell them when I returned the car. Got to the car and found a lot more that three areas…

New York flights question
We are looking to book return flights for 2 adults and 2 kids approximately 14th Aug 24 to 28th Aug 24. Ideally wanted to go from Manchester but it works out about £900 more than going from LHR. It seems to be the return leg that massively ups the price. My question is, is it likely more flights will be released soon…

Ryanair Seating Oddity
Alicante to Leeds Bradford the other week & had a very strange seating experience. Sat in seat 14F Middle seat as per the boarding card. Lady said you are sat in my seat. I showed her my boarding card & it then dawned on me that seat 14F was a window seat not a middle seat. No big problem but it was all very odd.
