                    Hi
Does anyone know if you can still purchase Turkish Lira smaller denominations, I just ordered online and all the notes where 200, I would prefer smaller notes for tips etc,

I never purchase foreign currency in advance. I always withdraw from a bank's ATM at the destination.0

Same here but you still get the same problem (as in the UK) no smaller notes. although TBH 200TL is just under £5 so not that bad for tipsMark_d said:I never purchase foreign currency in advance. Give tips in GBP, they'd probably prefer that0

We always change money when we're at our destination in Turkey. Before that all we have to do is tip the driver that takes us to our apartment and sterling is fine for that.
Or you could buy something in duty free at the airport on arrival and change one of your large notes. We always buy booze for the apartment as prices are high in Turkey.0
