Wizz Air booking via Opodo - Can't get a refund

In February 2023 I booked 2 flights with Wizz Air via Opodo, from Faro to Gatwick. In March, Wizz Air emailed to say the flight had been cancelled. I expected to get a refund but this has to be instigated and routed through Opodo. I have rung Opodo five times to ask where my refund has got to. Each time I am told it has been passed to their 'Special Department' and that I will get it within 72 hours or at the most 7 days. Six months have now passed. Has anyone any idea what else I can do to get my money back?

interested to hear if you got your refund in the end. I am in a similar situation. I booked some flights via Opodo with Wizz Air. I cancelled the flights and wizz air say they have sent opodo a credit. When I contact opodo they say the money is with wizz air and when I contact wizz air they say it’s with opodo. This has been going on for the last 6 months.
any advice would be much appreciated from this community.

You'll get nothing. IF you had booked it by yourself, then you could have CALLED(Online applications only receive CREDITS) them to receive your money minus any fees.
Since you booked via a Third Party and the airline claims to have sent Opodo(the Third Party) CREDITS and not MONEY, you won't be receiving any money.
Even if they had sent money to Opodo(minus cancellation fees, then likely any admin fees levied by Opodo would eat into any remaining amount.
When it comes to low cost airlines, buy direct or prepare for maximum inconvenience if something goes wrong0 -
