Tesco CC, does a payment reduce the direct debit?
Hi all, I'm wondering if anybody knows if making a part payment towards the statement balance on a Tesco credit card reduces the direct debit amount of not? For example, statement balance is £1000 and the full amount id due to be taken on the 1st, if I pay £500 now. Will the DD taken be £1000 or £500?

Did I make the right choice?
When I applied for my Credit Card, I explained to the lady at the bank that I needed it mostly for buying online, and booking hotels, both here and abroad. She asked if a Debit Card wouldn't be a better choice, to which I answered there was better protection (Section 75 etc.) with a Credit Card. Am I right, or have I…
