I have a lloyds current account and credit card.
I am looking for another credit card. I tried applying through the Lloyds app and it says I am not eligible for it.
When I apply through there website without logging in, it comes pre approved with 7.5k credit limit. I know this is not guaranteed.
I wonder if it will be accepted if I apply through the website?
Thanks

You won’t know until you click apply.Happened to me with Halifax - it went to referral but got approved eventually0

Some people have had success - Others haven't. You won't know unless you try - but I might look at other options from other banks first using eligibility checkers directly on their websites, if you get 'Computer says NO' on every check - then it's likely your application will go the same way. If the other providers are bending over backwards to say 'YES' - then maybe give it a try.

For example, if your Lloyds CC is a Mastercard, as is mine, I would seek one on Mastercard.
Just in case one processor went down one day, an alternative card is very useful.
In my case, Barclaycard (VISA).0 -

How many credit cards do Lloyds allow you to hold? Some banks only allow you to have one credit card from them... if Lloyds is similar the app is identifying you have a card as you're logged in hence the decline, maybe they dont do an existing customer check on their soft search on the website if you aren't logged in?0 -
To be fair, Lloyds kind of encourage having two cards with them in their app and online services, they recommend having a second card for alternatives to what you're using your main card for.
As an example, I have two with Lloyds:
- Cashback card gets me 0.25% and 0.50% on my everyday spending
- Platinum card has a very low interest rate if I need to use it for an emergency purchase, it also has very good offers for balance transfers and that kind of thing.
Two is the max they allow you to hold with them.0
