Pre Paying Utilities on Credit Card
I managed to get a credit card with 22 month 0% purchases and far larger credit limit than i anticipated. The only issue is purchases have to be made in 60days. I only needed 2k for a payment due soon and though it would be good to put it on a fee free credit card. I had another credit card on fee free which expires in…

New Credit Card
Hi all, I recently closed my Tesco Mastercard as I was not really getting anything back in terms of return on spends. Would you be able to recommend any cards with decent cashback or something similar? I've done my research online and looked at the article on here too. American Express seems to be the best one but…

Credit limit cut
I've been with my credit card for 10+ years. I've paid the card off every month in full by variable DD. My credit score is 995 and has always been high. I have not undertaken any further debt/borrowings in the last 10+ years. My income has increased by £5k in the last year. I've been retired for 10+ years. Why would my CC…

Please move in incorrect thread!. Hi all, thank you in advance for any information. Unexpected 0% balance transfer offer.
I have had a standard HSBC card for years and out of nowhere they have randomly offered me 15 months 0% balance transfers on the existing card... which is exactly what I have been looking for a new card for. It says I can apply for a balance transfer. I have never done a BT before... what exactly does apply mean in this…

Refund after changing card
I paid a deposit for a holiday on my John Lewis credit card. The holiday was cancelled and the deposit apparently returned to that credit card. BUT in the meantime John Lewis changed providers. So the money was refunded to a closed account - and has not bounced back. What do I do now. Who should I contact? How do I find…

Declined refund
I bought a prom dress for my daughter for £136 on line. It was standard fitting which offered at 14 day return. When it arrived it didn't fit or sit right. I spent 7 days trying to arrange the return, eventually they said they would send a second dress for £30 on their expedited service, and I could then sell on the other…

Barclaycard sending dispute outcome letter but never raised a dispute
Hi, Today I received a letter from their dispute team, explaining a lot of stuff about a purgase, the evidence they reviewed, etc and that they can't help. Letter addressed to me, and the few nmbers they show of the 16 digit card number match as well. In shock, I checked my statement but no such transaction at all. In…

Halifax Clarity a nightmare abroad/ verses Starling account
The only way Halifax clarity will communicate is by phone. Now been hanging on for an hour . The recording said 5 minute wait. I have a crime reference number to give them and I've been advised ( not by them unfortunately) to cancel my card in case of identity fraud, and to sign up to cifas. I'm abroad so not great .

How can I stop VISA from blocking my card?
Yesterday I was at my friends and I wanted to purchase a game he showed me. I tried to purchase it on the app and it didn't go through. I normally buy from them on the website so this is the first time trying the app and assumed it was bad (the steam apps are notoriously badly made). Later on, I tried to buy movie tickets…

Hi, I'm on a 15 month 0% credit card deal. I've been reducing the balance each month but I recently bought something for £400 using that card. Can I borrow from card at 0% to pay off debt on same card?
Hi, Let me explain. I rather foolishly paid the deposit for a car purchase straight on my credit card. In hindsight, I should have used the 0% bank transfer offer to withdraw the money to my current account and then paid the deposit from there. But here I am. I still have the withdrawal offer open to me and the remaining…
