CC or loan to pay for new heating
Just had new heating & I have a bill of £4.5k to pay. My question is would I be best doing this on a credit card or getting a loan. I'm slightly confused by the bill having bank details so I guess this would be classed as a cash advance by credit card company and attract high interest rates? Any advice would be most…

Natwest Credit Card - Changes
Has anyone else noticed that with the Natwest Rewards Credit Card (and
presumably other Natwest/RBS Credit Cards) spending marked as ‘pending’ is immediately
added to the balance amount as soon as the purchase is made? It used to be listed as ‘pending’ and only appeared in the balance once the transaction had cleared –…

Over the last six months I've used their instalment service to pay a large car bill. So last month I paid the final…

I have a 0% promotional balance of £590. Therefore I should only be charged interest on an amount of £4410 or below. My monthly interest rate is 2.5688%,…

Hello, I am keen on getting my first credit card. HSBC Letter - We are clearing your outstanding balance!
I've had a letter from HSBC today that says 'as a gesture of goodwill, we are clearing the outstanding balance on your credit card'. Although it falls into the 'too good to be true' category, they are not asking for anything, it's simply a statement that my direct debit will cease on 29th February. I only have one credit…

Have lenders changed their eligibility criteria?
I took out a 0% balance transfer card around 2 years ago. Nothing has changed much, if anything, my salary has gone up, we've lived in our house longer and the amount I want to borrow has gone down. Trying to find a card to transfer again and everywhere is saying I'm not eligible. Anyone know why please?
