Stoozing Newbie
I've pondered stoozing in the past, but always been a bit nervous about it. It would be great to get a second pair of eyes on my thinking: Halifax 0% money transfer £9000 (already have this card) to Trading 212 at 5.2% Natwest 0% fee, 0% balance transfer Halifax amount for 13 months (approved for £13,700 limit today) Can I…

Hi, I'm a 71 year pensioner and have a Fluid Credit Card with a Credit limit of £2,500, my my credit score is FAIR, 722 with Experion. Unfortunately due to Covid and the recent COL crisis I relied too much on the card and the current balance is now £2400. I have never missed a payment or paid late, in fact I have a perfect…

Apple wallet hack
My son (21) late last night noticed three unusual payments from two separate bank accounts (Santander and HSBC). Santander (three transactions £0.99, and 2 x £49.99) has told him it's from his Apple wallet - he's a money-conscious student so is very good at knowing what he's spent and is adamant he has not made those…

Is recurrent CC transactions suitable for Charge Back
Long and sorry story. while trying to set up a free Paramount Plus account from my SKY setup, I accidentally (100% my fault) went to a Paramount Plus reseller site (Gamingify) and signed up. It was free and I provided my SKY account details, they then set up a 14-day recurring payment against my credit card after three…

Barclaycard Rewards cards not ussued
Received a message in iPhone wallet to say Barclaycard Freedom Rewards Card was no longer valid. New cards should have been issued but none were sent. Rang Barclaycard and there has been a delay in issuing new cards to some customers. So left high and dry for a few days, as old Freedom Rewards cards are no longer valid and…

£120 'charge' under pending transactions
If you spend money on petrol at Tesco with a new credit card you might find yourself with an additional separate £120 charge under 'pending transactions' titled 'purchase domestic'. The Santander helpline tell me this is rebated before anything appears on the main bill. I can't remember if it's to cover Tesco or the card…

Money Transfer or Balance Transfer Cards Eligibility
Hi Everyone, I am looking to get a balance transfer or money transfer card to utilise the interest free period to pay off the remaining balance on a loan to stop the interest. I will then pay the card off before being charged interest. So far this year I have managed to pay off a £3800 Tesco credit card, £1150 on a…

0% Money transfer question
I have a virgin Credit card with 3.5k limit and £950 owing. The APR is 23% on this card. I received an email for 12 month 0% balance and money transfer with a 4% fee. I have 2 other balances owing on other cards coming to around £900. APR on these is 29% + 31%. Would it make sense to take an £1800 money transfer and just…

Car hire: I pay but different driver
My son and I are travelling to Belfast on June 17. I have a chronic health condition and am no longer able to drive. My son is driving. Car hire companies ask that the person who pays with a credit card is the same person as the driver. My son is on minimum wage and doesn't have a credit card. Last year I persuaded the…

Dispute with builder
Hi All, We had an extension and new roof through a building company who subcontracted in a window company and roofer. We paid the building company for all work. Towards the end of the build the builders had clearly lost motivation and had another job on, appeared unannounced now and again. Their work was becoming shoddy so…

Cap 1 balance transfer has gone missing!
Hi there, apologies if this is in the wrong place! I’m in a bit of a flap!!! I applied for a 6month interest free balance transfer card with Capital One. On application I provided the details of my Aqua (!) card to send the transfer to. The Cap One card is showing that they have sent the money on 31/05/24 but it has not…

Is there any disadvantage to adding my wife as an additional cardholder?
I’ve just had a decent balance transfer offer come through
on one of my existing credit cards, so I am thinking of adding my wife as an
additional cardholder in order to be able to transfer a balance from one of her
credit cards where the 0% offer period is about to end. Is there any disadvantage of doing this in terms of…

How long do applications take to show on credit file
Hi everyone long story short, I’ve got a good credit rating and locked in my mortgage for 5 years so can afford to hammer my credit file to maximise credit card offers (as I’ll have years to rebuild it). I want to open at least two new credit cards: one balance transfer and the other 0% purchases. How long will one lender…

Lloyds app - Issue with viewing credit card
Hi Is anyone else having problems viewing credit card transactions on the app? Mine seem to be stored on a pdf only, whereas previously I could quickly check them all, just like I do on my normal accounts. I've been through the useless customer service, Advisor clearly had no clue and just advised clearing cache, then…

Tesco Credit Card huge rate increase
I knew once Barclays brought their taint to Tesco it was only a matter of time my card would become as rubbish as their own, but thought I had more time than this, and that it would happen gradually. They've written to me today to tell me that my rates are near enough doubling from 6.9% to 13.032% "to reflect the increased…
