Marked Down by Credit Reference Agencies for Cash Withdrawls on Specialist Travel Credit Card
For many years I have had a Santander Zero specialist travel credit card. I've used it all around the world - hotel bills, restaurants, shopping, etc - without charges and it has worked very well. From time to time, it is withdrawn from new applicants, sometimes for several years, but my card has always remained valid and…

AmEx UK Customer Services or Bereavement team e mail address
Has anyone had any luck in attempting to get an e mail address for UK customer services at Am Ex? I am trying to deal with a bereavement notification and despite the bereavement team e mail address noted at the top of the B. notification form - i have received an auto message back saying I need to call as that e mail…

Halifax clarity
Hi, Is there a way of finding out how much the exchange rate is that you're charged on foreign transactions before the payment comes out as it doesn't show the exchange rate while it's pending it only shows the payment comes out on the statement

Santander Zéro unexpected charges
I've had my Zero card for years and never incurred any charges. On my last 2 statements there are Quasi cash interest charges. I can find no explanation for this on Santander's site. Any ideas?

Credit Cards - Fees on Gift Cards
For the second time I have been charged a cash transaction fee on a Caffe Nero gift card. The first time the card company and vendor blamed each other so I decided to use a different card this time - with the same result. I called MBNA to query it - expecting them to blame Caffe Nero - but instead the representative…

Balance transfer and credit advice
Hello, Like a fool i have managed to borrow too much on credit cards and now the monthly payments are getting pretty high. I have managed to transfer a sizeable chuck to one new card on a 36 month interest free card but when i tried to apply for another interest free card i was only offered £480. I suppose £400 on an…

Lloyds Platinum abroad?
Hello, this is my first post here 👋🏻 We previously have used Halifax Clarity Credit Card and Chase Debit Card when abroad. We have just got a new Lloyds Club Platinum account. I can see it says no fees abroad. But is this card really as good as the two above? Thanks! 🌎

Not quite understanding the Barclaycard Rewards C/C
I opened one of these as we were going abroad in August. Spent on it while away & had the D/D setup to take payment in full because as I understand it there's no 0% on purchases & I didn't want to be charged interest. Since then direct debits have been taken but they never clear the balance. I seemingly continue to earn…

Duped?
I'm completely new to this. I recently checked my eligibility for a transfer to a new 0% deal on the MSE site. Santander was top of the list and it indicated 100% likelihood of acceptance. I applied, indicating how much I needed to transfer and the details of the relevant card. I was accepted and it wasn't until I logged…

0% balance transfers with HSBC pre approved but they still need to decide if accept my application?
I suppose i have two questions. Firstly, I was apparently pre approved using a comparison site, yet when I was taken to HSBC and filled in my details, it said it would be in touch if I'm accepted. I thought the whole point of having a comparison site to do a soft credit check means that I dont have to risk a hard credit…

Argos store card
I have recently received a letter from Argos store card stating that as from January 2026 my account will be closed and any outstanding balance will be wiped off and my account shown as settled. This is due to Argos financial services not managing Argos cards. Does anyone know if this is true as in effect the letter is…

Pre-approved vs Application?
I recently applied for a credit card and got declined and have a few questions regarding the process. So i was 100% pre-approved for this credit card on all 3 credit reference agencies (using TotallyMoney, Credit Karma, Clearscore, Credibility and Experian). I even checked the credit card website eligibility checker and…

Buying a "new" Car...CC advice please
Originally, I was simply going to use savings and pay off instantly. However, I am thinking of getting a 0% interest CC, and paying it off monthly? Would I get accepted for £7000, income of £85k? I have all the money in place but I also wonder if there are any CC that give a little cashback alongside 0% - if anyone has any…

New to Airline Reward Points
We're going to start saving points, probably towards upgrading flights to Australia in a few years. We plan to a get the Amex Gold for a year to start us off and then review the perks against second year fee to see if we keep that. We also plan to get the Avios Barclaycard to use where Amex isn't accepted. Looking at MSE…

Section 75 Claim to Tesco Credit Card
Following Tesco Bank’s failure to address my section 75 claim against NowTV I made a DSAR to Tesco Bank. I’ve had no response from the ICO regarding Tesco’s not dealing with my claim. Any advice or what I can do next? I really don’t want to go through the courts as I don’t have the time or the patience to travel to sort…

Should I keep my Credit Cards open?
Hi there, hoping for some advice please. After years of credit card debt, I finally paid them all off this year - woohoo! :* I currently have several credit card accounts open as a result of multiple balance transfers throughout the year, but my balance is £0. My total credit limit is £42,100 spread across seven cards. All…

Barclaycard Reward card foreign transaction refund different to original payment (not exchange rate)
A hotel in Australia charged my account with $800.19 and then refunded it 4 days later with $800.19. However the Sterling amount came out at £399.43 and £393.31 respectively meaning I lost £6.12. Why is this? It can't be down to exchange rate by that much in 4 days and Barclaycard rewards say no foreign transaction…
