BT lack of offers

Are credit files ( hard searches) checked when offering BT?

I've opened 3 CC of late for 0% purchases (M&S, Lloyds & RBS) all now maxed out, but now my BT offers have dried up (Natwest, HSBC & Barclays) where before I has having them every month.

Has anything else changed? Increased your overdraft? Remortgaged? New phone contract? Motor insurance renewal being paid monthly?

Creditors will look at your credit file if you apply and that will cause a hard search.

Other possible - clear your search history?

I've never had a hard search for an existing card, unless requesting a liability increase.

After a decade of doing this, I simply cannot work out the algorithms. So often it's the inverse to what you would anticipate. For example, Barclaycard are definitely doing BT deals for some existing customers right now. I actually got snail mail about it, 0% at 2.9% until 1st Nov 27, for transfers up until the end of this month. I'm already near the max limit, so could only get £200 away. This is a few weeks after I reloaded the stoozing balance.

I've just been offered 0% BT with 0% fees (6 months) on my existing Barclaycard. So the deals are still out there.

The only change is the new CCs I also have 2 BT (HSBC &MBNA) but were still getting offers.
I had a BT on my Barclaycard, getting offers on that (21 months 2.9%) but couldn't use it now that;s been paid off they have stopped the offer this month.
I might not need it, but hopefully I will.

I've had that before - build up my stoozing and offers drop off. It would be based on a soft search though, not a hard one.

I'm getting the most generous existing customer offers from Barclaycard that I've had in years. 2.9%, as above, but for 22 months.

I had the same ( might have been 21 months ) with Barclays last month. Hopefully will get some offers in June, thou I might not need it.

No, as they get enough info via normal banking systems.

Your answer is within your question. Opened 3 CC, now all maxed out (to be fair no timeframe on this, or how many other cards you have). So lenders seeing these details will not be interested in further offers. As all they are seeing is, as large risk of debt being defaulted on.
