Claim now pay later?
I'm as keen as anybody to stop the banks ripping us off with £35 charges for £1 overdrafts, but what happens if we win all get our bank charges back and then find that the banks reintroduce the sorts of charges that were common 20 years ago e.g. 25p for every cheque that they handled, 10p for every standing order they paid…

Claiming 2wice?
Hi everyone:hello: I am with first direct (hsbc bank) and I managed to claim back most of my bank charges in 2007. Would I be able…

I have written to Barclays in order to try and claim for £521 worth of charges. However, I have received a reply stating that most of these are reserve usage fees or referral fees and therefore not reclaimable. Bank charges case - are clearing times being queried?
I've read a number of the articles and discussions on this site, but I don't think I've ever heard mention of whether the times banks take to clear funds is under question in the test case. I am currently challenging the Alliance & Leicester on a number of charges they have levied against my account, and as is the norm, my…

This isn’t strictly about reclaiming bank charges, rather charges I am extremely unhappy about having to pay. My partner recently finished University in York and I had been living with her and 2 friends who were also students. We opened a shared account for bills with HSBC about a year ago and it worked well for all of us.…

useful hardship tip
not sure if this has already been posted: I went through all of the steps to claim back charges of about £1000 all in all and just got the same old response of 'waiting for the court case' blah blah blah. I then sent in a hard ship letter and they got back to me saying that they had deposited a 'good will' sum of £2000…
