small claims court and builders
does anyone know if taking a builder for poor workmanship do you get compensation back or is it a waste of time and money as I have heard that they turn the whole thing around and blame you for interfering.

Long Tall Sally Good Clothes Bad Service
I hate to moan  but I have had a terrible week of emails from Long Tall Sally about their non delivery of a suit I ordered in their online sale. This was sadly not available at the one shop near me so I had to order online. LTS state delivery will be within roughly 5 or 6 days. Two weeks after my card was charged…

Faulty xbox360
Hi all, I have a question and wondered if anyone could shed any light on it. I bought my OH a 360 from Amazon for Christmas. He opened it (obviously) on Christmas Day, and it stopped working last Thursday. After doing the various suggestions on the MS website, and doing them all again, twice, with a none-too-bright phone…

M&S underpants: not just Jeremy Clarkson's problem!
Read today that Mr Top Gear has written to M&S's chairman about the dodgy quality of M&S mens' underpants these days, compared to in the past. He's lucky he doesn't (presumably!) have to wear the women's ones. I bought some a year or two ago that were the usual, reliable, cotton Marks and Sparks dependables. Recently I…

Shop.com=waste of space &spot the spam merchant? Is it shop.com, tribal uk, or Quidco?
At some date in 2007 which now seems weeks ago now, mainly because it is, I ordered a freezer via a Quidco link to Shop.com. This turned out to be some kind of deal with Tribal UK as supplier. I have heard, received and seen nothing since my order apart from a "How did we do?" type survey email from Shop.com a week or so…

I had laser eye surgery done in 2003 with optical express. My vision is still great. The service and after care was brilliant. Many of my friends and colleagues have had the surgery with this company and have all had excellent results and great service.

T-Mobile help please
Hi On January 3rd I went into the T-mobile store in Glasgow and bought a Samsung D900i under the assumption it had a document viewer (whoops). However I noticed the battery life was also rather poor, so i took it back yesterday, wanting to upgrade to the U600. However I had to argue slightly with the manager because they…

Oranges Ladies-Only Gym in Doncaster which signed up my mother and my sister by lying and blatant misrepresentation. They now refuse to take any action to refund their annual membership fees. Sorry, just feeling the need for a bit of a rant! I moved into my current home in early July, and finally had a telephone line installed in September. I contacted Sky, and arranged for Sky BB, talk and TV (The 3 for £19 package) to be installed. My Sky router arrived within a few days, and my BB connection was active…

O2 (OK, I may be in the minority)
I transferred my number from Orange to O2 this year, and, lets just say, it didn't go to plan. However, when I've needed help (which was a fair amount!) their call centre staff have always been really helpful. I found it useful that I could call their customer services team from any O2 shop, generally no questions asked.…
