House of Fraser Points Card

In October 2007 House of Fraser stopping issuing the points only card in their stores. This card along with their store card is operated by GE Capital.
Up to the 22nd Oct and after stores are telling customers that they no longer accept this card and you cannot use it, customers have not been contacted by either company and it appears that your points are lost. Users of the points card had to get 1500 points and then would get a £15 voucher. So customers nearing 1500 points before the 22nd Oct will have thought they have lost out.
In fact the points only card is only stopping for new users. Worringly the stores are pushing new and exisiting users to move to the store/credit card with a high APR.
If you are told that your old points card won`t work tell the cashier this....
total the goods up on the till, tell them to select other payment options, there they will find an option for the loyalty card. They can then insert the card and get the points.
It would appear that HoF staff have not been trained on this. I wonder how many people think they have lost points or have be forced into taking a store card????

The HoF in Leamington Spa is fine - they've been accepting my old points only card okay and no-one's tried to push me towards the new one - they turned me down last time anyway - LOLNoli nothis permittere te terere
