Sorry, just feeling the need for a bit of a rant! :mad:

I moved into my current home in early July, and finally had a telephone line installed in September. I contacted Sky, and arranged for Sky BB, talk and TV (The 3 for £19 package) to be installed.

My Sky router arrived within a few days, and my BB connection was active within 7 days. No complaints at all on this front, the connection is fast and stable, and the router is fine.

Now, the TV is another matter entirely!!! We are now 4 months down the line, and I still don't have my TV service installed. :mad:

I arranged an installation, no engineer turned up and no card was left (nor did they call me).

I arranged a second installation, the engineer turned up and said he couldn't install as needed special heights team (2nd floor flat, which I had advised the call centre of).

Special heights installation arranged for "Friday Morning", no engineer turned up, however I went out at 3pm and when I came back at 8pm, there was a card with the time as 18.45 (Hardly morning!)

Another special heights installation arranged, again advised of "morning", however I waited in all day and still nobody showed up.


I am now heartily sick of this, as I have lost 4 days pay (about £200) and still haven't got my flipping TV service. I was preparing to call them today and book yet another appointment, however I am expecting to move within the next 2 months so it seems pointless. At least the place I am mving to has a communal sky dish and all of the wiring in place, so all I would need was the box - no worries about special heights again!

Also, I notice from my BT bills that all calls are still being billed by them - so evidently my Sky Talk isn't working either!


AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!


That feels better :) I'm off to write a snotty letter now...

  • Write to Sky head office and give then 7days to sort it out or you will end the contract that you are legally intitled to do then demand the cost of taking the 4 days off because of the arranged installations. The the call charges of the Sky Talk not working and it still being charged to you BT account. Anyway the letter idea I just read there at the end of writing this. I like to have a good time complaining too, :).
