does anyone know if taking a builder for poor workmanship do you get compensation back or is it a waste of time and money as I have heard that they turn the whole thing around and blame you for interfering.
Nice to save.

You can sue them for a refund/cost to repair etc. My parents did it many years ago with a roofer that made a complete botched job. They won the case and got the money as the courts ordered the roofer to pay. Just make sure you have complete documentation, photos of the work etc."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Yep, superscaper is correct. However, you should be aware that even with a judgment, you may need to take further action to enforce the judgment (get the money).Gone ... or have I?0
