T-Mobile help please

Options
Hi

On January 3rd I went into the T-mobile store in Glasgow and bought a Samsung D900i under the assumption it had a document viewer (whoops). However I noticed the battery life was also rather poor, so i took it back yesterday, wanting to upgrade to the U600. However I had to argue slightly with the manager because they only do like-for-like exchanges, but 'on this occasion' they upgraded it to the U600 for an extra £10, but the woman at the till said if anything goes wrong with this phone it'll have to go back to the manufacturer. Unfortunately, something has gone wrong :( The screen has a scratch on it but I don't want to have to take it back to the same store and deal with that woman that served me again. Is there any way I could just take it back to the other T-mobile store and ask for a full refund, as id rather just go with Tesco mobile which is much cheaper and has better customer service? And is there a chance they would phone down the other store when I was there so they didn't have to take it back?

  • Can't really help you with your question but would advise you (or anyone!) against getting a U600, if that's what you were going to also get with Tesco.

I had 4 separate U600's over a 5 month period and all were faulty (different faults each time too) and the battery life was shockingly bad.

In relation to your query, maybe try ringing T Mobile for advice?

  • Oh dear! What was the problem with them all? this one has a wee bit of the screen scratched but ive heard the predictive text will fail in about 6 months if anyone can confirm this? Even though the woman said it would have to be sent back to Samsung, if I just went back to the other store and demanded a refund, would it likely happen for me?
  • Yep predictive text failed, screen would randomly freeze and then wipe out anything not stored on your SIM, contacs list stopped working when you tried to move to a contact using the first letter of name and microphone went!!!

It's well known that Samsung have had major problems with this model, which is a shame because I have always had Samsungs and never had an issue before!

With slide phones like this you will normally tend to get scratches on screen, no matter how careful you are unfortunately!

I got a Sony Ericsson W910i now which is great - but I'm a texter mainly and don't use it for much else!

Hope you get it sorted though
