I was thinking they might be useful for storage but can I make them look any prettier? Could I cover them with something or paint them? I am not a very "crafty" person…

Subscription savings
I like several monthly magazines and always felt that I didn't spend that much. After I'd read them and taken what I wanted from the features, they were passed to my mum or friends. A friend mentioned subscriptions and at Christmas Homes and Antiques were 50% off - an even bigger saving, as my brother bought it as my…

Occasionally either in our change or in my case in the business I work in we get handed damaged (torn, defaced, badly worn) bank notes and often just assume that they are useless and cannot be used. However I discovered tonight that it is…

What is the cost of running a slow cooker?
The reason I ask is, my thoughts on anything with a heating element usually cost more! and if the S/C is on for hours is it cost effective?
