What is the cost of running a slow cooker?

The reason I ask is, my thoughts on anything with a heating element usually cost more! and if the S/C is on for hours is it cost effective?

YES!!!!...It's very cheap to run a slow cooker. Most are about the 100W mark so divide your unit rate on your electricity bill by 10 and that's what it costs per hour to run....but....as it's winter you need less heating in the kitchen due to the heat output by the cooker so will be saving a very small amount of money on the gas bill.:footie:
