I like several monthly magazines and always felt that I didn't spend that much. After I'd read them and taken what I wanted from the features, they were passed to my mum or friends.
A friend mentioned subscriptions and at Christmas Homes and Antiques were 50% off - an even bigger saving, as my brother bought it as my Christmas present.
A January birthday has brought a Vintage magazine subscription.
I've decided to put the money that I would normally be spending each month on these into a savings jar and will use this to pay for next year's subscription.
Still ahead of the game, as each magazine seems to have a Christmas deal!

Check your local library. With our local council you can sign into the library website with your library card ID and download free magazines
I get quite a few good ones - absolutely free! Just need to watch my phone download limit. 0
