Cleaning Coat
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and a horrible bird "did it's business" on my beautiful new red coat. I tried a baby wipe first of all - that did nothing. Then I tried sponging it with warm water with a bit of washing powder in. That has made it slightly better, but there's still a white mark :-( Any ideas of…

jam/jelly making crisis
Wondered if an experienced hand could help. Made jelly-bag preserve using plums hawberries and apples - no pectin/lemon juice as i'd had success with this combination before. How to use a dehumidifier?
I am thinking of investing in a dehumidifier. Primarily because i am having to dry a lot of clothes inside, but also because our bathroom is covered in mould that keeps coming back really quickly. My main question is how do you use one? Is it something you have to have turned on permanently or does it have a "cycle"? I'm…

How to dress a child as a bear
Just realised that it's Children in Need on Friday and the kids (ages 6 and 4) have been asked to come into school dressed as a bear. Any thoughts how we could do it? Preferably (a) low-cost, (b) easy to make (sewing on Beaver's badges is about our limit!) and (c) achievable by Friday.
