Ayone know where I can get about 15meters of bubble wrap about 4ft wide please?

This is to cover my single glazed windows for the winter.

Prefarably somewhere free, but if not, cheap.

Storage companies often advertise that they sell packing material. Would try one of them if you have one locally.

Im not sure about bubble wrap over windows? but didnt you used to be able to buy a clear plastic that you put up to the windows then put a hairdryer on it to make it go taught ? It worked like a plastic double glazing.

I recently bought a gigantic roll of bubble wrap from B & Q for wrapping china etc ready for house move. I think it was about £15 and is sold for protecting greenhouse windows and you need to look for it in the DIY section. Width is 76cms.

A garden centre will have bubblewrap for greenhouses, not sure what price it will be, probably depends on how expensive your local garden centre is in general.

The bubble wrap you buy in garden centres is no different to the bubble wrap you can buy from storage & removal companies, but usually a lot more expensive. You should be able to get a 50M x 750mm roll for about £15 - £20 which my DH used to insulate 2 greenhouses, each one 8' x 6'. You can also put agains household windows and it'll keep the heat in. It makes a real difference!

Should also mention, if you use the biodegardable stuff it will start to fall apart quite quickly as it's designed to compost down on contact with water / moisture - usually it's more expensive so stick to the cheaper clear stuff!
