Cleaning glasswear from charity shop

Hi guys
I am a newbie to charity shops, and I have issues with OCD and cleaning compulsions. I spotted some little glasses, 25p..perfect for the vintage/alice in wonder land vanity I am setting up
Anyway what is the best way to clean them/disinfect them?
I dont want to end up having to throw them out! But my compulsions are a bit strong when it comes to things being dirty or old etc etc (okay so getting vintage stuff will have to get over it!)
Was thinking alcohol gel and then polish them up??
Any suggestions would be most welcome lol tell me I am not the only barmy one out there :rotfl:

Vinegar is perfect for glasswear and should make you feel they are clean, read the link for reassurance.

Well in my non OCD world I use washing up liquid or run them through the dishwasher.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Just wash as usual I'd say , if you have a dishwasher all the better as they will be sterilised on a hot cycle and polished up as well..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I dont have a dishwasher, thats the concern!! Dont think a regular wash will put my mind at lease
I'll give disinfectant a whirl! Thanks guysOU Law studentMay Grocery challenge£30/ £110 -
If you can't put them inthe dishwasher add bleach to the water (as hot as you can), soak a while and then rinse well.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0

I'd wash them in very hot soapy water
If you can't bear to keep them, please send them back to the charity shop rather than junking them; that way the charity benefits again, and it keeps some lovely glassware from landfill
