Small tear in washing machine rubber seal
My washing machine has developed a small tear in the rubber seal around the door. It's only about 2cm x 1cm and the water has been dripping through to the floor. The water doesn't leak through the door however. I was thinking of maybe using a bicycle puncture repair kit to patch this up. Would this work? I am not even sure…

Interior doors - changing handles from ones with locks
Our new house has door handles we don't like and would like to change. Unfortunately, for some reason the current handles are all the type that are lockable so when you take them off there's a large cavity making it impossible to just replace them with a 'normal' (turning only, not locking) handle. Is there anything we can…

I know this is probably an easy job for a competent person but I'm a girl and rubbish at DIY so would like some advice please :) We have fitted wardrobe doors across an alcove, but they are about 3" too short, leaving a gap between the top of them and the ceiling. We have a piece of wood to fill the gap, it's chipboard…

Keeping dust in check in the bathroom
Hi everyone. We are having our bathroom renovated and today was the first day that we were able to use the shower after nearly three weeks. (yes, we did make alternative arrangements!) Yale Doors
Hi, I need to replace my front door and have been looking at the options. I'm thinking of getting a yale door from yaledoor.co.uk as it all looks rather quick and simple but... I know it will vary depending on location but just wondered roughly how much a room should cost to wallpaper and the ceiling painted? The approx room size is 8ft wide by 16ft long and the ceiling is fairly low due to it being a garage previously. Also I will be providing the wallpaper myself. We are in Wales if that helps.…
