Small tear in washing machine rubber seal

Options
My washing machine has developed a small tear in the rubber seal around the door. It's only about 2cm x 1cm and the water has been dripping through to the floor. The water doesn't leak through the door however.

I was thinking of maybe using a bicycle puncture repair kit to patch this up. Would this work? I am not even sure if the glue is waterproof.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Thanks.

Don't waste your time trying to repair it it will never work.
Best to get a new door seal.

You could try a repair (which I doubt) will work but also check on ebay as door seals are not that expensive and would ensure a full and proper repair.

replace the seal and have done with it.
a repair is 99.9% certain to fail.
    Get some gorm.
