Light fitting that takes GU10 bulbs

GU10 bulbs are halogen? I believe. Purchased light in DIY shop. Assitant in shop felt we could replace the bulbs supplied with LED equivalent of GU10's. Can anyone advise how we can check this? without spending any money? Don't want to get sparks to fit new light fittings & then we have to use halogen bulbs? Thanks in advance

Many companies do GU10 led replacement lamps now
Just google gu10 led, personally though I wouldnt fit the cheapo ones best to go for a brand name. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Ya, was going to go with Phillips or someone reputable. Thanks for the reassurance that we can just do a straight swab with bulbs0

They swap straight in and work fine
The LED are equivalent to the GU10 halogen in terms of fitting etc. Using them on Kitchen downlighters for past 3 months (before that kept replacing GU10 bulbs constantly and spending a fortune!). 0 -
