How can I fix this wood to my wall?

I know this is probably an easy job for a competent person but I'm a girl and rubbish at DIY so would like some advice please
We have fitted wardrobe doors across an alcove, but they are about 3" too short, leaving a gap between the top of them and the ceiling. We have a piece of wood to fill the gap, it's chipboard with a wood effect veneer. How do I affix it?
The rail on which the doors are hung is affixed at the sides, and also by plastic supports affixed to the ceiling.
pictures, if it works:

I'm off to B&Q in a bit so if there's anything I need to buy please let me know
Trying to sell our house so need to keep it tidy! The wood only fell down a few days ago, looks like it was stuck on with no more nails tape originally.

Bit of white silcolne on the brackets and tape the wood in place until it sets, unless you need to get it off for anything then velcro tape might work, but in my experience it never sticksHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Yes it looks like someone's used double sided sticky. I'd just get more of the same. There are metal push clips you can get but the tape's a lot quicker to fit.

ooh that sounds nice and easy, brilliant
thought I'd have to do some drilling! and we even have some silicone so don't need to buy anything. Thanks! 0 -
Silicone ! ohhh dear.
Nahhhh thats a bodgers way, if you can use long panel pins to fix the header. Failing that the strong double sided adhesive tape is a much better way of doing things. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

I would use the "No More Nail" sticky pads - they are great and they are so strong.
