I opened an easy access saver online yesterday with Close Bros, via a link on MSE. I trust MSE links, having used them often over the…

When banking scams are discussed in the media, why are they not more precise about the details?
Seems to happen a lot. Usually in relation to being phoned by somebody pretending to be from a bank. There's always lots of talk about how convincing they sound on the phone and about protecting passwords, etc, but rarely, if ever, do they actually go into detail about what the scam involved. i.e. What was the actual thing…

Pay dividend tax or risk CGT on unwrapped assets?
I want to move some global equity index funds from an unwrapped account to an ISA and SIPP. If it is coming up to an annual ex-div date is it best, if I want to use my full £3k CGT allowance on this transfer, to do it before or after they go ex-div. Assume I hold enough to have a dividend tax bill in either case and pay…

Maturing first direct regular saver disappeared from FD account list
Hi As per the title, my hubby's FD regular saver matures tomorrow [30th] but it has disappeared already from list of accounts. Is this normal?
