When do you all think its best to leave it, I know its one of them things you don't have to do
Do you think its best to leave it when you have posted the item, or wait for them to leave the item

I leave it when they have left it then all those that haven't i tend to leave i a few weeks later in case they've never got there item

When it come to me buying as and when i get my item

if i'm the buyer i always wait until i've got it first
as a seller i wait until i know the items been delivered or the buyer has already left me feedback - whichever comes first really.
I used to leave feedback to buyers as soon as i got cleared payment but after having some bad experiences with nasties I tend not to do this anymore

I think the general consensus is to wait a bit before leaving feedback to make sure the seller doesn't turn out to be a scammer and a pain in the neck.

But as you can't leve a neg anyway, it wouldn't make a huge amount of difference. I reckon if you leave them a positive, they are more likely to do the same for you.

As a buyer - when I receive the item.

As a seller - when the buyer leaves feedback, or otherwise lets me know that they have received the item and are happy.

I personally leave feedback for buyers when I receive payment; the buyer has done their part now it is down to me. I communicate a thank you note for ordering, I also communicate a note for posting and I will leave a bit of time before asking for feedback if they have not done so, I also include a note in the email (and the parcel) asking them to contact me first before leaving feedback if there are problems.

If people don’t leave feedback, well that just goes with the territory, I think buyers feel aggrieved and blackmailed that they are told by sellers that they will only leave feedback on return of positive feedback. And that if you as a buyer leave negative feedback then you will simply be revenge rated by the seller. I am sure it occurs the other way around too.

How can sellers "revenge rate" a buyer when they can't leave a negative?
