hi i brought a dvd from a seller who didnt want payent by paypal so i did a bank transfer on the same day i won, a week later i get an emailo saying he hadnt got the payment i sent him proof he had then he posted the dvd i got it 6 days after i showed him this then when i left nuertual saying a bit of a mess but we got there in the end. he has left me neg saying its my fault for not comuncating with him.

Now i have recieved a request for mutaul withdrawal. i feel me withdrawing mine would be dishonest and that he is holding me to ransome with his neg feed back.

is there anything i can do ?

Add an appropriate commment in the follow up section telling others what he has done and tell him to get stuffed.

I'd leave a reply to his neg and move on.

I wish Ebay would come up with a better way of doing feeback some it isn't a tit-for-tat response.

Personally I would complete the feedback withdrawl and move on,.

As although your neutral comments will remain they have no affect on his ratings wheras his negative will affect your overall score.
  • I dont think you should have left a neutral in the first place, a little misunderstanding is all it was??

anyways now that you've received a neg dont let them blackmail you, leave a follow-up to the neg explaining the situation so anyone reading through your feedback understands whats happened and move on, do not retract

Yes follow up to his negative, and to your feedback. SO long as you stay above 98% you'll be fine.

He was obviously scum. Maybe report him to ebay.

Should have left a neg in the 1st place, obviously a seller who is childish when it comes to feedback.

To follow up, go to the Feedback section under the left hand side of My Account then go to the Feedback Forum under your username.

Shows the new eBay policy of Neutrals being as harmful as a negative to sellers is having effect. This will be par for the course now for anyone leaving neutrals for sellers unfortunately.

If it's been bought on a buyers account do not worry about it - simply leave a follow-up along the lines of "Retalitory neg - disappointed with sellers service" and move on. Negs on buying accounts are pretty much unavoidable, and when received from an idiot should even be worn as a badge of honour! As a buyer, there is not a lot sellers can do to stop you bidding, so a neg wont really prevent your eBay activities on that account. Unless you end up collecting a fair number of them, only then may eBay do something about it, but in this case you have paid for the item so you will not get a strike or anything serious like that against you.
