Held to ransom over feedback!

I bought an item that took ages to arrive. I emailed to politely ask if the item had been sent yet as I was getting worried it had got lost in the post.
Seller emailed back to say they had been snowed under and thanks for my patience. (Lol!)
Item eventually arrived and then I got an email telling me they would give me feedback once I'd left positive feedback for them first.
I thought they had a flaming cheek so I emailed back and said that was the first time I'd ever been told I'd get feedback once I'd left some and that I'd paid promptly and communicated politely and I'd played my part and didn't appreciate their stance.
Got another email telling me they thought they would jog my memory as they hadn't had much feedback left for them. Mmmm...wonder why!
They still haven't left me feedback so they must be sticking to their guns. I dont care a jot about the feedback, ebay isn't a big thing for me.....I just think their attitude stinks and I want to neg them because of it. There's no way they're getting a positive now.
Is that bad?

If the seller is any of you....................your attitude sucks! :rotfl:

i generally wait for feedback as for me that shows the buyer is happy and the deals complete.
i find if you leave feedback 1st a lot of buyers just dont bother.
remember the reminder emails are most likely automated0 -
Lol.....no this reminder email directly answered my email to them. It wasn't a generated one.
Best of it is...I ALWAYS leave feedback as soon as the item arrives. I make a point of it. If the seller hadn't have emailed me to ask for it the same time as the item arrived.......they would have had their feedback by now.0 -
My policy is that if I am selling I leave feedback first as the buyer has done their part and paid, then they leave me feedback when it arrives.
Same other way round, if I buy a product I won't leave feedback until I have received it0 -
tell the seller you have some photos of him his missus wouldn't like to see and say you'll send them to the news of the world.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -

I do the exact opposite!
When buying ,I always leave feedback as soon as I get the item.
When selling ,I leave feedback once the buyer has done so ,acknowledging receipt and the conclusion of the transaction.
Much safer that way!
As for the OP ,I'd probably just ignore and not leave any feedback at all!
I had one seller email "hey how about leaving my feedback!"
Stupidly I then left feedback which had only been delayed due to a holiday.............but never got any back.
I might respond to a polite reminder of a missed feedback ,after all no-one is perfect but wish I hadn't responded to that one!!!:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
The seller has a bit of a cheek! I wouldn't bother leaving them any feedback after that. I think it would be petty and unreasonable to neg them, but I certainly wouldn't leave them positive fb.0

The trouble is that some sellers and some buyers are unreasonable gits so a lot of people end up suspicious. I always leave feedback, I always leave the feedback I think is appropriate and what any one else does is up to them.0
