I'm so pleased we've raised this topic again.

Thanks - rough day, really needed a smile.
  • Sorry everyone, I was just having a wee rant. I didn't realise it would bug everyone because it had been said before. :o Ebay isn't a big thing for me so I don't come to this board very often.

I just wanted to let off some steam about it but I had no idea it would annoy people so much. _pale_ (* crawls under nearest rock and hides*)

    Thanks for the replies anyway.

Personally in this instance (and ignoring the usual feedback discussion) I would leave no fedback at all.

IF however I got one more reminder about feedback I would email the seller again and say that I found their harrassment unacceptable and I had thought that due to the nature of the feedback I would have to leave to reflect the delay, I would have thought they would prefer no feedback at all. If however they wanted my feedback that would reflect my overall experience, including the feedback harrassment, I would be happy to leave it.

My policy is that if I am selling I leave feedback first as the buyer has done their part and paid, then they leave me feedback when it arrives.

Same other way round, if I buy a product I won't leave feedback until I have received it

That is how it used to be a few years ago.
Now, you will find very few sellers who will leave feedback first. Fair enough, feedback is more important for a seller than it is for a buyer. I am mostly a buyer.

  • I'm a regular-ish buyer on ebay & have always left feedback first, the sellers have all waited for me to post first, I don't mind as so far (touch wood) I've had no problems with getting what I've paid for.
