My bill is exactly the same as previous occupant was in credit
Seems bit strange it should be the same amount he was in credit by. He is dead now . About £347 not even for 12 months seems steep. Not got my bill with me, suppose I should see if estimated or not. Supposed to be a smart meter. I will contact them.

Can a water company say a water meter was read when it wasn’t?
My parents’ water bill showed meter readings that had stayed exactly the same for the last few years (last 5 readings had stayed exactly the same). They don’t take the meter readings themselves as have always relied on the 6 months company readings. Thinking the meter must be broken, I asked for it to be checked. Turns out…

Is fitting a water meter compulsary?
Hello all,I've recently had a letter from Thames Water stating that we need to contact them to arrange a date to fit a water meter in our home. We've always been happy not to have a meter fitted as we use a fair amount of water for health reasons, but the phrasing of this letter makes it sound like this is a mandatory…

Thames Water help/advice
I live on my own and up until last year I used pay £16 a month with Thames Water. Then they upped the monthly costs to £32 which I was furious about as it wasn't about any usage change but the fact OFWAT let them raise prices. I've just had a letter saying my bill will be increasing to £35 a month, I called them and they…

Thames water - estimated usage
Hi everyone, I have received my first waste water bill from Thames Water that is estimated. They do not provide my clean water - this is by another company and so they have said in their letter they are unable to give an actual bill as they are unable to collect readings. So - is this fair? Am I right to ask them to…

Thames water meter saying I’ve refused because I don’t want kitchen cupboards ruined
After borderline harassment by TW and them putting up the direct debit I decided to book for a meter. The main stopcock out the front is shared by several houses. We wanted a meter out the front. They said they couldn’t do that. We then reluctantly said ok how about inside. The engineer located the internal stopcock but…

Rateable value vs assessed household charge -- Thames Water
I am a Thames Water customer. I want to know how much I should pay on their rateable value tariff vs assessed household charge. I can't find any information on their website which would enable me to calculate this. Where can I find such info, or even a rough guide? The RV is 117 and it's a 4 bedroom house.

Change to Water Meter - Wessex Water Region
After receiving this year's water bill of £1,168 (£97 per month over 12 months) I decided to change to a water meter due to the increase in cost from the previous year.
