Virgin M to M+ cost?
Just opened a new Virgin account and opted for the Big Easy package. Seemed fine, but didn't clock the fact that several of the channels we now take for granted after having Now TV for a while aren't included with M TV (Sky 1, Fox, MTV). I think we need to move up to M+ - any idea what this might add to our bill? Thoughts…

What's the best Virgin Media deal for a new customer
Our daughter has been with Sky for 11 months now, having TV deal, broadband and the phone with them. As with all these sort of matters, being loyal will never be the best option, so I have advised her to cancel now and think about joining another company. Now I've been given the job of trying to find her the best deal. She…

woud you consider B&W TV a valid option?
I am currently taking part in a discussion about the B&W license in another forum, and it has been suggested that people are using B&W TVs, so they only have to pay the B&W license. Whilst true the B&W license is cheaper, other than the very elderly, who would consider B&W a valid option? Two more points I would like to…

Cable TV only
A family member has just moved to a new rented flat and the signal isn't strong enough to get Freeview. Unfortunately satellite dishes aren't allowed, and most of the tenants use cable. I gather that cable TV usually comes in a package with a home phone and broadband. As he's disabled he needs to keep the cost down to the…

Sky News but nowt else
My neighbour in the flat below asked my advice about his TV setup. When he moved into his flat there was already a sky dish there but he got his TV reception through a TV aerial (presumably freeview). Recently we had scaffolding interfering with the signals so he started to use the sky dish. He has no sky subscription.…

8 year TV licence refund!
Hi, Yesterday my Dad discovered that he was still paying for a TV licence from 2007 when I was living away as a student. (quarterly direct debit that he assumed had something to do with paying for the following years licence in advance). The official refund policy is that they will only refund up to 2 years. Does anyone…

New to VM can I cancel?
I signed up with Virgin Media and had TV, Broadband and Phone installed on 28th August. Since having the install we have had problems with pixellation and blurring while viewing on demand and catch up. I contacted VM who said there was interference on our box and they would send an engineer. The engineer came today and…

Nextflix - Money Back
Afternoon everyone :) :hello: Wasn't sure if anyone has already posted about this or not but thought I would anyway as it could help you save a bit of money :) I recently moved house and had to wait over four weeks for my internet to be put on (another story completely). Which means that I paid for a month's worth of…

Views on BT TV - subscription or buy box from Argos
Hi, just looking to move away from Sky and have been looking at the BT/youview service as I already have BT broadband (although they say this has to be upgraded to Infinity). I just wondered whether people think the service is ok - is the box reliable recording, etc. I have also noticed that the BT box can be purchased…

WOIRA standard letter
Is there a template or suggested text for a permanent WOIRA to TV Licensing? When issuing a WOIRA they, in effect, state that it is only valid for two years. I want to make sure they understand it is permanent.

Freeview channels lost on tv
I have a Samsung TV that was pre installed with freeview. Having a Virgin Media TV package not really looked at freeview occasionally flicked over but did not view much . I decided to try freeview without Virgin connected to see what it would be like so that I can reduce my cost and just have broadband . Only thing is my…

What happens if you CANCEL Sky is Dish still live for Freeview?
Hi all My friend pays about £28 for a sky package and has been with them since 2011. She wants to cancel. I know her TV has an inbuilt Freeview facility - but what happens with the dish, will it still give her a signal with all free/freeview channels without her doing anything else?
