Hay i brought my first house sep 2013. i got a tv license shortly after and they charged me around £24.25 DD for the first 6 months then the normal £12.12. British Eurosport - Eurosport Player discounted membership?
Hi All Has anyone found a reliable way to get a discounted membership of British Eurosport - Eurosport Player? The normal cost is £4.99 per month unless you subscribe for a whole year, which I don't want to do. Most of the discount codes online have expired or are actually not really discount codes - they say from £5 per…

Seniors TV license
I am 80 years and my TV license is free. My wife is now 75 and is eligible for free license also. Is there a way to transfer my wife's license to our 2nd home. I have applied for one but have been informed that only one free license is per couple. We only use 2nd home at weekends for a total of 2/3 months per year so feel…

Virgin media cannot get contract right.
I am getting Virgin installed tomorrow, though am tempted to cancel given how inept they have been over my contract. I was originally getting services installed on 18/12/15 but changed it to tomorrow. I also paid a year's line rental up front. Virgin keep sending me out the wrong contract, I keep ringing and asking them to…

Hi, I'm a student and paying for my licence quarterly. Will only be here until may - 6 months, It says I can get a refund as I wont be there all year, Obviously I wouldn't be refunded anything as I havent paid for it all upfront. So, whats the crack? Will they just not make me pay anymore after 6 months? Cheers.

Questions about Netflix and similar
I currently have TV, phone and broadband with Sky at £60/month, and I'm looking to change to save money. Because I don't use the landline at all, it seems logical to get unlimited broadband (Fuel is £16.40/month for 12 months and then only £21.40/month after that), and then a streaming service, resulting in £25-£30/month…

Cant turn off Audio Description Toshiba Regza
I have a Toshiba Regza with no remote control - I manage this OK with a reprogrammed Sky remote that does simple functions, however the TV has now defaulted to Audio Description for every channel that has it and I can't get rid of it! It is about the most irritating thing in the world (yep, I know, first world problems)…

Virgin M to M+ cost?
Just opened a new Virgin account and opted for the Big Easy package. Seemed fine, but didn't clock the fact that several of the channels we now take for granted after having Now TV for a while aren't included with M TV (Sky 1, Fox, MTV). I think we need to move up to M+ - any idea what this might add to our bill? Thoughts…

What's the best Virgin Media deal for a new customer
Our daughter has been with Sky for 11 months now, having TV deal, broadband and the phone with them. As with all these sort of matters, being loyal will never be the best option, so I have advised her to cancel now and think about joining another company. Now I've been given the job of trying to find her the best deal. She…

woud you consider B&W TV a valid option?
I am currently taking part in a discussion about the B&W license in another forum, and it has been suggested that people are using B&W TVs, so they only have to pay the B&W license. Whilst true the B&W license is cheaper, other than the very elderly, who would consider B&W a valid option? Two more points I would like to…

Cable TV only
A family member has just moved to a new rented flat and the signal isn't strong enough to get Freeview. Unfortunately satellite dishes aren't allowed, and most of the tenants use cable. I gather that cable TV usually comes in a package with a home phone and broadband. As he's disabled he needs to keep the cost down to the…

Sky News but nowt else
My neighbour in the flat below asked my advice about his TV setup. When he moved into his flat there was already a sky dish there but he got his TV reception through a TV aerial (presumably freeview). Recently we had scaffolding interfering with the signals so he started to use the sky dish. He has no sky subscription.…
