Sony Smart Tv v Firestick

I got a fire stick for xmas, and then got a tv upgrade - Sony KDL-50W807C Smart 3D Full HD TV (Android TV, X-Reality Pro, Motionflow XR 800 Hz, Wi-Fi and NFC)

Any idea if there is any point in setting up the firestick for this tv or does the tv already do it all?

Just wondering if to resell of pass the stick on?

You could use it on another telly in the house? All the Firestick needs is a HDMI port and a power port. A review for the Firestick said they took it on holiday with them and used the hotel Wi-Fi for streaming

OP what apps does the TV have and are there a year on the firestorm you would use ?

I guess it depends on whether you currently have Freeview and what apps the TV has. The Fire Stick allows you to access Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC IPlayer, UKTV Player, ITV Hub and Demand 5 amongst others. You can also watch TVPlayer Plus (£4.99 per month) which gives you access to some non Freeview premium channels such as W, Alibi, History, Sony Movie Channel.
