Any good Freeview HD PVRs around?

I cancelled Sky a couple of weeks ago. I have a PS3 for catch up/on demand. Would like a straightforward Freeview HD PVR. I have been through the models on Humax Direct and read the reviews and most of the PVRs seem to have some kind of issue with them.
Is there any PVR you guys could recommend?

I've got a Panasonic that's also a DVD / BR player and can record to DVDs in addition the internal HD. No problems with it in the last few years of ownership.
It will also record from the SCART input, which almost none of the PVRs seem able to do these days, unlike just about every video recorder ever made.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -

There are 3 or 4 threads running on Freeview Play on different internet forums and its had a mixed reception to say the least.
YouView is a solid HD PVR and is the current What-HiFi 2015 Freeview PVR of the year. I've got 3.0 -
I've recently bought a Youview Humax DTR-T2000 with the 1Gb drive. (Currys £199)
This is to eventually replace my Sony HXD870, which has given sterling service for the past 8 years, but has started to become a bit unreliable.
Although the DTR-T2000 has been around a while, it does seem to still get good reviews. As VisionMan says, some of the newer Freeview Play models (although they can record three channels at once) do appear to have a few bugs still to be ironed out.0 -
Thanks. I think I'll go for the DTR-T2000. All the Freeview & Freeview Play stuff seems to get much more negative feedback. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Having had two other brands, then Humax, I would definitely recommend the latter.0

Always had Humax boxes and never an issue with any of them.0

I've ordered a HDR 1000s (Freesat <Freetime>) for the reception room and DTR 2000T for the study. Both refurbished from Humax Direct so reasonably priced. Arrive Monday so will report back once I have used these for a whileThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
