I've not got a TV and normally watch everything on the iplayer/4OD/5-on-demand maybe once or twice a week. I don't have any plans to get a TV because the licence fees are a bit too high for me and put me off.

I was wondering about film services, but most seem to be aimed towards those who watch on the big screen, I'd be watching on a minimised screen on my desktop whilst I carry on with general computer use type stuff.

Is anyone else in the same boat or can anyone recommend an affordable film subscription service where I don't feel like I'm paying over the odds for a large part of the service I wont be using because I don't have a TV to watch on (so wont need any of these flashy new boxes or extras).

Aye both Amazon and netflix can be watched in a normal browser window on the PC, I think Amazon may not work on some tablets though, but Netflix will work on most tablets.

Now TV is another one - 3 packages - Entertainment, Movies, and Sky. Pretty much the same as Netflix and Amazon, although the newer movies are usually available sooner. Amazon and Netflix have a greater mix of programming for your subscription (TV and Movies), whereas Now TV is separate - you can only watch movies if you subscribe to the movie package, and TV programmes are part of the Entertainment package.
I've had all 3, and they all have their plusses and minuses, so I tend to go with one for a few months, then switch to another. Far as I know, you can't pay monthly for Amazon anymore, but if you use Amazon for shopping, you can get the next day delivery thing, and earn credits by going for slow delivery, but it costs about £80 for the year. Netflix is the cheapest all in subscription for their content, Now TV is the most expensive if you go for everything, but comparable to Netflix for the Movies or Entertainment packages.

Now TV may lead to the need for a TV Licence should you be tempted to watch anything live
